Matt is responsible for developing and delivering timely market and economic insight to financial advisors and institutional investors across the United States. He co-authors John Hancock Investment Management’s flagship quarterly market outlook publication, Market Intelligence, which combines insight from the firm’s global network of asset managers, independent research firms, broker-dealers, and banks with bottom-up fundamental and macroeconomic analysis. Matt has been featured on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Bloomberg Radio, and he’s quoted frequently in the financial press, including the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and MarketWatch. Prior to joining John Hancock Investment Management in 2014, Matt was a manager due diligence analyst at LPL Financial Research, where he was responsible for manager and asset allocation changes related to the firm’s recommended list and discretionary models. He earned a B.S. in Finance from Elon University, an M.B.A. from Babson College, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
